Rachel and team work alongside Casa Grace by organising a Camp in the summer for the children of families who live in extremely poor conditions and come from some very difficult backgrounds. They also run a water project putting taps into homes where currently the family have to walk to a nearby well for clean water, and of course giving out the shoeboxes that the Knit and Natter group have made such an important contribution to, so once again thank you for your valued support.
Monkton Farleigh raised £320.00 at their sale of work. An additional donation of knitted goods worth over £100 was given to a group working with the charity Casa Grace in Romania.
After a year of meeting, the Monkton Farleigh Knit & Natter Group held their first craft fair in November to raise funds towards the repairs of the church bellows. Despite the horrible weather, there was a good turnout for the event which raised a total of £320 from the sale of knitted and crocheted goods made by the group, a raffle and refreshments.

Just to say thank you so much to the Monkton Farleigh Knit and Natter Group, for the kind donation of various, wonderful pieces of knitted craft work. All of the donated items have been placed into Christmas Shoeboxes and are making their way to Oradea, Romania by lorry. Our team will be going out to meet the workers from the charity we are linked with; Casa Grace, and together we will be distributing these boxes directly to the poor families living in the outskirt villages near Oradea, from 8th to 11th December.Casa Grace is a Romanian,Social Work Charity which has been running since 1996 and their mission is to serve families who are living in poverty, for example, they provide care for disabled children, they run sewing classes for young women to help them to train in order to provide a living for themselves and their families and give aid to poor families in the form of food, clothing, plus household necessities .
