The Forever Friends Appeal is trying to raise money for a new cancer care centre and a RNHRD and therapies centre at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
As part of the RUH’s major redevelopment plan, they are currently fundraising towards the build of a pioneering new Cancer Centre. The new centre will embrace a holistic approach by providing a nurturing and therapeutic environment – that is centred on patient care and experience. With the help of the community, they have currently raised £8.3 million of their £8.5 million target!
Further to this, and as their latest campaign, they are fundraising for a new RNHRD and Therapies Centre, which will replace the current outdated 1940s facilities. This too will adopt a holistic approach to care that will nurture the recovery and treatment of long-term conditions. The fundraising target for this campaign is £2 million and they have undertaken the Brownsword Match Funding Challenge, where for every £1 that is donated, local businessman Andrew Brownsword will match it! Currently, they have raised £400,000 of their target. This is a wonderful opportunity to raise as much as possible for a really worthy cause. Something as simple as handing out collection tins or spreading the word would be a great help and hugely appreciated.
