There will be a Post Office in the King’s Arms for 2 days a week for 2 hours each day.  This will be starting in May.  Services to include money in, money out, parcels and cheques etc. More details will follow.

Bingo Success

I would to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to the Bingo & Buffet evening at The Kings Arms on Saturday. I think a good night was had by all. The raffle raised £76.00 and will go to the Church’s repair fund.
Also I would just like to say Thank You to Joy and her team of volunteers for keeping the Pub running.

The Duck is Dead, Long Live the King!

Villagers in Monkton Farleigh have saved their local from closure by agreeing to take on the day-to-day running of the pub for six months.
The Muddy Duck was scheduled to close as it did not fit with the business plan of the current owners, who have agreed to let the village run the pub until the lease runs out in six months. The pub re-opened on Thursday night and reverted to its original name, The Kings Arms.
