Christingle Service

A family service to celebrate Jesus Christ as the “Light of the World” on Sunday 27th November at 5:00 pm.  All welcome.
Christingle celebrations are named after the Christingles that are lit during the service. Christingles are made from an orange decorated with red tape, sweets and a candle. Each piece of the Christingle holds special symbolism to help children understand  the importance of Jesus and the Gospel, and its relevance at Christmas time.

Christmas Fair at Churchfields, The Village School

It’s that time of the year once again, where the villagers are warmly welcomed into the school to start the Christmas season!  Open from 10.30am, pop in for mulled wine and mince pies, delicious cakes and coffee, carols, crafts and decorations and so much more!

Remembrance Sunday

The Remembrance Service will take place at St Peter’s church at 10.50 am on Sunday, 13 November 2016. Wreaths will be laid at the memorial in the church as we remember and honour those from the village who died in war.  All are welcome.

School governors are people who want to make a positive contribution to children’s education. We are seeking three new people to join our governing body. This is an exciting time for our school and its pupils, as we look to 2017 and beyond and plan our future.

Monkton Farleigh Harvest Lunch

Monkton Farleigh celebrated Harvest on Sunday, 25 September 2016.
This service always has a particular relevance at St Peter’s as the church is part of a rural community that is surrounded by working farms.

The church was decorated for the occasion with a spectacular series of flower arrangements reflecting the colours and fruitfulness of the season.

Thank You!

The community coffee morning on 23 September raised £257.40 for Macmillan Cancer Support.  It was a happy time and many delicious cakes were sampled.  Very many thanks to everyone involved.
